A sweet autumn evening of the indie acoustic comes to Vogelmorn.
Swingbridge is the musical vehicle of Otago songsmith Bridget Ellis and friends. Engaging real-world songs journey through intricate folk to spacious jazz, from punchy rock to uncharted country, delivered home with incidental fun.
Ellis will be joined by Amos Mann on double bass and Chris Meech on baritone sax.
Support is by Bridget's very own niece Emmie Ellis hailing from raucus-doom-pop bands Sweaty Betty, Tidal Rave and Paper Fortune. As M.E.L.S. she'll be sharing her melodic hot-takes on life and love, seeing how eclectic she can get in a three song set.
This is the first stop on Swingbridge's eight date North Island tour promoting album, 'The Garden'. https://swingbridge.bandcamp.com/album/the-garden '...songs varied and alive; and the album an ecosystem of feeling and meaning.' (Eddie Robinson, Oh-Oamaru)
